These are photos from different locations. The first photo is from an area in Cuba called Jaimanitas, Havana. This gallery is called "Jose Fuster Gallery of Ceramics". The gallery was like Disney Land. It never ended. It went up 3 floors, and it was just kept going. The second photo is of a place called "Viñales Valley". There were people singing, and there was an amazing view. I wanted to really make the colours pop out. For the 3rd photo, is of somewhere in Havana of all of the 1950 cars, we got to ride in them. I really wanted to capture the true shape of them, as well as the colours. The 4th picture was taken in Toronto. It was blue sky's that day, and I wanted to pull that blue out more so it pops. The last photo is of Vancouver. When I was editing the photo using SNAPSEED, I realized that the clouds were coming toward the big ship, and I wanted to enhance it more, and make it look really intense to what the original image was.

My progress for this project is coming along pretty well, I need to work on the lighting more, and really look at the details in a photo, so that when I come back to Lightroom or photoshop, I don't have to deal with it.
For this assignment I used natural light. The light is coming from the left where the window was. I used the back of a black chair, so it could be a solid background, so it would focus more on my mum and dad. I took a hundred or more shots, with lots of different posing styles, but I found that the best ones to use was the ones either of them laughing, or a smirky face. So I couldn't take a serious shot, because there was nothing in that. It had to show there personality, otherwise the photo was just boring. My mum and dad wearing black was very helpful because it made there face features pop out more.
This house was built in 1955, and it has a lot of character. The name of this house is called Cassiobury. We love it, because it reminds us of houses back in England. The house I would say has a lot of passages to it, and there is always something new around the corner. The houses now are so modern, and boring, and have the same tile patter etc. But this house has a certain feeling to it. It's different and unique. I love how there are lots of trees around us, because it sometimes feels like we are in a forest. In the winter when it snows, which has happened like once in 5 years. The trees would all be white, and it was a winter wonderland, as well as a scene from Narnia. In the morning the sunset is always the colour of an orange, that has been turned up. When the sunset comes, the sky is a bubble gum pink, with a faded blue sky, that has a chill to it. The light always shines through my window in such a perfect way that wakes me up. The pool makes the house so much better in the summer. It's like a skateboard rink if you were to drain it. The pool is 11ft deep, and when I try and reach the bottom, I can't, but sometimes if i'm lucky.
The first 3 photos represent story telling photos, with deeper meaning. The next three represent the simple black and white, as well as colour portrait school photo that represents the people in the photo. I chose to use famous people because I wanted to represent their looks when they were our age.
These photos all represent light. These photos were a challenge to capture because I had to get the right lighting. The first photo is the self-portrait and that was hard, because I had to be in the correct position in order to capture that certain amount of light. The second photo is a silhouette, of my cat. The third photo is the morning sunshine coming through my bedroom window. This photo I would say was the most challenging photo out of the 3, because I couldn't get the camera to capture the true colour. My room at the time was all orange. It was quite spectacular.
This is a picture of New York City, when I visited in the past weekend, and I chose this photo because it really captures the whole of New York City. It also captures the clouds in the sky, and the whole view.
I had so much fun taking these photos, because it was just so cool to see such bright colours coming out of the trees.
